Steeles true breed revealed

There have been a lot of questions lately to just exactly what breed steele is. Most people think he is a malemute, but hes not, the two breeds are so different.


The husky and malemute were bred for two different things also. The malemute was large enough and strong enough to pull a large amount of wait a short distance. The husky, on the other hand, was tall and sleek, yet strong enough to run and pull sleds long distances in a short amout of time.


Steele is probably a little larger b/c the animaters wanted him to have the look of a beautiful dog that could be a bully at the same time. Just b/c Steele may have some of the traits of the malemute dose not make him one he is way to tall and small to be a malemute.


Well this is just my opinion so please post some comments and tell me what you think.

That's interesting. I've always thought that Steele was a Malamute because of his coloring.

He could be But If you look he is built more like a husky

A tall Siberian Husky. Aalskan Malamutes can not have blue eyes, also Alaskan Malamutes run slower. If Steele was an Alaskan Malamute, eh, he wouldn't be a champion sled dog racer..

Oh and by the way, Siberian Huskies are much shorter then Alaskan Malamutes.

I never really gave thought about what Steel was.............but I probably already knew he was a husky.

He is a Husky... He could be a Malamute, but as it is animated you never know. Like you realy see a red husky like Jenna?

yeppers. Huskies are alot more slimmer. and hsukies can be as big as Malamutes! i've seen some giant huskies before.
