Kodi's big trouble

One day in nome kodi was playing with his friends and Was having fun. Kodi was on The mail team and was working Towards Lead dog. while he was playing a New dog walked up. she was red and light-blue underneath she was going to be also put on the mail team. She walked up and introduced her self My name is Sasha and Im new here Ralph kirby and kodi walked up to her and said hello Dusty was called in to eat by her owner and had to leave. She said im supposed to be on the mail team as well And was wondering what im supposed to do kirby and Ralph laughed but kodi didn't. sorry about them all you do is get hooked on a sled and go to towns and delviver mail. Oh that sounds easy replied sasha. Well it can be pretty challenging but ya it is pretty easy. it was late and they had to sleep and wake up early to get the mail to white mountain. That night Kodi had a dream of a green husky she as beautiful and was running Very fast and he was chasing her to keep up but just when he caught up the floor collapsed and he began to fall very fast and then KODI WAKE UP! what what is it kodi said it is time to get up. Are you ok you where whining and grunting in your sleep. Oh ya im fine just a bad dream. Any was sasha was up and the rest of the team walked out. He walked up to her and then daw she had a Z on her neck. Kodi said where have i seen one of those? but decided not to worry once they were harnessed they hey ran It was a long day dusty next to ralph kirby next to sasha And kodi in front for the time being. They ran the whole way there. Everyone was panting Except sasha She was not even breaking a sweat. THey delivered the mail and then returned to nome everyone was tired except sasha and she said that was easy i hope we run tomorrow everyone groaned because they had to go to 5 towns by tomorrow And they were tired so everyone went to sleep. Meanwhile dusty had not been around and then she woke kodi up form a dream about the green malamute. KODI Waa what oh hey dusty are you alright ya she said but she looked a little down. Whats wrong Oh nothing much Im just no longer on the mail team is all and she began to tear up. Why she asked well remember when i knocked ralph and kirby over a while back and the musher saw? Kodi thought and said oh ya gloomily but i will still see you guys alot and i think that is why that new dog is here. Oh sasha kodi forgot about that. Well were busy until night all week but i will see you later. By dusty said and she nuzzled him and left. when morning came everyone stretched and got ready to go and run to white mountain,anchorage and a few other towns. Sasha was there finally and she was strapped on and placed behind kodi. The musher told them to go and off they went running and running and they went to town fter town By now all the dogs were out of breath except Sasha. She was hardly brething hard at all and she was not even sweating. kodi was tired and Was ready to sleep when they got back to nome He was bearly able to stand up and walk to the boiler room but he did and he fell fast asleep. He began to dream again and the green malamute was running again and he was after her but she was always getting faster then again the floor fell out and he was falling but before he hit the ground KODI WAKE UP! AhHH he woke up panting and shaking He noticed sasha was up and all ready to run. Good morning she said how are you fine kodi replied. kodi rememberd his brother had a z on his back. Later you should meet my brother he has a z just like yours on his back. WOW she said i thought i was the only one so they agreed. today they had to go to white mountain and then back to nome so they were off again running fast. again kodi was running fast but he was beginnig to pant and sasha was not even breaking a sweat they dropped the mail off and then went to Nome. when they got there kodi said let me go find my brother. Kalgorn Was kodi's brother and he was sitting there talking to his mate misty kalgorn kodi said hey kodi how are you? good listen I met this dog sasha and she has the same mark on her neck that you have on your back. Wow really that is cool bring her by later. im kinnda busy now watching Tolgan. tolgan was kalgorns son who was always up to no good. Ok kodi said and he ran off to tell sasha. Then dusty walked up and said hey kodi hey dusty kodi and dusty were mates since a little before dusty was off the team. Can we spend time together today? Yes and they walked on to a nearby mountain peak and they could see all of nome. dust and kodi laid together for a while and then dusty had to go and kodi walked her home and they nuzzeld and then kodi went to find sasha And take her to kalgorn. He found her on the beach and then they went to kalgorns. When they got there he was with tolgan and misty and him were talking and he was about to pounce n his dad and then he did. TOLGAN! he yelled do'nt do that when mommy and daddy are taking ahh i never have any fun.Kodi walked u and said hey kalgorn this is sasha And they talked A little adn then he noticed the z on her neck. Wow you were right and he said i thought i only had one. Hey sasha what was your dad's name? I dont remeber he was gone before i was born. But my Mom's name was Kira. That name rings a bell. Kalgorn siad sme here. where did you live? ice point cliff. WHAT? ice point cliff she said. Lagorn remember dad told his about his parents and sister. I thought his relatives were killed but kira was not oh wait here sasha i will go find my dad. He ran to find him he was not at the house so he must be on the boat. He found him looking hard at something. DAD! what is it kodi nearly falling over. I want you to meet sasha she said her mom was kira. I thiught she was killed but she must not have been. so they ran over to find her kalgorn and her were talking and balto introduced him self and they talked. After that Kodi and her went to go to sleep. he laid down and began to dream. Again he was after the green and white malamute and he was runnig fast but he could not keep up with her and the floor fell out and he began to fall but then SPLASH! Kodi wake up were leaving. Oh Ok then he shook stood up and found sasha. hey wahy did'nt you wake me up? oh Sorry i thought you would wake up sooner. Sorry im cranky in the morning and then they were harnaced and off to whith mountain again. when they got there it ws snowing real hard and it was getting cold so mr conner said were stayig here tonight team. So they rented a cabin nd they all went to sleep. Kodi was dreaming of the malamute and he was having a hard time keeping up and he was then phulng down a mountain and he hit the ground and he yelped. He woke up to find sasha uncomfortable and so he walked over to her and said wats wrong oh nothing its just i like to run and sleeping is hard when Im used to be able to run. So they walked to the door. kodi opened it with his teeth. Wow that is cool ya my dad taught me how its real easy any way the snow was not to deep and kodi lipped on some ice and fell in a hole. Are you o she said then she fell in to. ya im ok they worked tere way up a hill to get back to the top. it was hard but they managed. when they got back the team was waking up so they waited and with in an hour they were heading for nome. Kodi was worried because it took the musher to hook them up slower then usual and It looked like he was going to switch kodi and sasha. knowing this kodi ran as fast as he could and was doing a real good job and when they got backed to nome and were unhooked sasha said Kodi what was that? what was what kodi replied you never run like that. oh just running fast. Sasha siad i had to run twice as fast as normal. Oh kodi said well The truth is i want to be lead dog and i have been on the teame for over a year and well when you were put on the team i was afriad you would be lead dog. Oh kodi said sasha I do not care what position i am i just want to Deliver the mail. when they got back kodi found Dusty and they nuzzeld and went to the mountain where they woul look at the view. They talked a long time and then dusty told him That she was going on a week long trip and that she was leaving early. Kodi looked gloomy but he walked her home and Then she nuzzeld him and said its alright its only a week and kodi siad i know, ill miss you is all and then he went to lay down. Again he dreamed of the white and green husky And he was running fast and he ran up to her and was aout to say something when bang he woke up to find dusty had knocked over a bowl. I thiught you were leaving oh i am but i wanted to say good bye and And she nuzzeldhim and she ran off. Today kodi did not have to work and he was happy. o he slept until 10:00 Am. He was rubbing the sleep out of his eyes when he heard Hello. Kodi said what and he turned There in front of him was the green and whie malamute. Hi he said hello im Ashur and im new to nome. I live in the new house that was just built. can you show me around? sure said kodi and they began to walk. she was very close to himhe felt her brush his side. He liked it alot but then he said you are with dusty loud in his head. ashur did not notice she as busy looking at the buildings and she asked how long have you lived here? my whole life replied kodi where are you from? I am from Anchorage wo that nice. Then kodi rememberd that he had to talk to kirby about something. hey i ave to do something oh thats ok mind walking me home sure he said and they walked back to her house Well nice meeting you and she brushed him as she left. which sent shivers down his spine. he had to really go back and catch somesleep so the next mornig him and sasha could race. he sleept all night and he dreamed of Ashur and was happy and then he awoke and he ran to find sasha n the beach and said are you ready to race? Yes said sasha and then she said do not cry when i beat you. Oh i think you will cry she said alright 3..2...1 GO! and they were of kodi shot way passed her but then sasha Came up and ran past him kodi ran faster again but she flw by and won kodi was taken a back and fell face first in to the sand. Ouch he sid but he stood up and shook. I told you nit to cry when i beat you oh whatever sai kodi and he laughed. the sun was setting and sasha said i am going to get out of the sun see you kodi and with that she was off. kodi was deep in thought wlking back to nome and he did not snap out of it until BUMP! he walked into another dog. It was Ashur Hey Watch it she said. Oh sorry said kodi a little embarrassed. Its ok just pay more attention. Hey its kodi right? Ya glad you remember my name. how are you? good she replied. have you gotten lost? Actually im lost right now ashur chuckeld. Wow even her laugh is perfect. well were are you going to? home ooh ok i will walk you they walked and talked and kodi was happy to help her again. He was wondering if he shoul tell her about how she was in his dreams before they met? No not right now that might creep her out. it was friday dusty had left sunday just two days Left. In the last four days kodi had been spending alot of his time with Ashur and it was still a mystery why she was in his dreams. kodi liked to be around her. she was fun to be around with. kodi was standing in front of the boiler room. It was late and kodi suddenly found that Ashur was right beside him. she was leaning against him. Kodi grinned. kodi leaned against her for a few minutes and they began to walk into the boiler room. standing adjacent to the boiler room in an ally Was kirby. kirby was surprised to see another dog. kodi did'nt seem the type who would be doing that. No it must be another dog siad kirby shking his head. when Kodi woke up the next morning he was in a familliar boiler room but one thing was differ'ent. Beside him lay Ashur. Kodi was wonfering what she was doing there and then he remembered and dusty came to his mind. What have i done? kodi did'nt feel comfortable laying next to ashur anymore and He ran from the room as quick as possible. ok Hopefully knowone saw me last night so i can pretend that never happend "kodi said to himself" He was in his dads boat. He found a hole at the bottom when he had run out to the beach. looking back he saw a small hole so he dug through the snow and made it big enough for him and queezed hime self in.Ashur will be quite about it kodi kept convincing himself that it was ok. Dusty comes back tommorrow How could i have been so STUPID. Kodi? Oh no said kodi Recognizing the voice. Kodi is that you in there? it was sasha. Just leave me alone right now said kodi getting smaller in ther hole. sasha asked whats wrong? sasha was now following him into the hole. i said just leave me alone Kodi said. He was not in the mood to tell anyone about what he had done. kodi you can tell me anything Now whats wrong? said sasha in a comforting voice. If i told you you would hate me. taking a step back from her. Try Me sasha said. ok but i warned you. Im mates with dusty who is in teller right now but last night i slept with another dog. Sasha was quite for a moment and said Kodi..." See i told you that you would hate me turning a way from her. Who said i hated you, you just made a mistake, A Big Mistake but we all make mistakes sasha said. I did'nt meant to do it. It just sort of...happend. Dusty comes back tommorrow and i don't know what to do kodi explained to sasha. I don'nt either but You are not going to solve anything by hiding in this boat pointed out sasha. I know i just did'nt know what else to do Kodi sighed. well it is to dark in here sasha said walking towards the hole. kodi stayed put for a minute and then sighed and followed her. it was saturday night and all kodi had done was talk to ashur about last night and the conversation did not result very well either. Ahsur i need to talk to you walking up to ashur as she sat on her porch. kodi i have been looking for you And i had a great timelast night by the way said Ashur flashing her perfect smile.
